‘Wrth chwilio am waith drwy wahanol ffyrdd yn Ynys Môn mae fy mhrofiad i wedi bod yn gymysgedd o siom a chymorth gan ambell leoliad. Un pwynt cryf yw bod yna ddim amrywiaeth da o swyddi ar gael ar yr ynys. Y ffordd fwyaf effeithiol i mi chwilio am waith yw dros y we neu drwy y ganolfan swydd (job centre). Mi oeddwn i yn lwcus cael diploma a addysg mewn maes lle mae swyddi yn dod reit aml (gofal a iechyd) a wastad yn cael gwybod am y swyddi drwy ebost gan y cyngor a drwy yr nhs. Un o’r pethau sydd yn gwneud i chi golli’r amynedd ac yn eich tynnu i lawr yw peidio cael adborth ac ymateb ar ôl i chi drio am swydd (mewn cais neu cyfweliad) Byddai adborth yn fuddiol iawn i mi er mwyn gwybod beth i’w wneud yn well tro nesaf.’

Male 20 years old-

‘The reason why I think that I have been unsuccessful at getting a job is because I feel that it is essential that we can speak fluent welsh, the reason why I say this is that I've given a copy of my CV to a lot of businesses but have had no reply. I included my CV and cover letter in English. It's also hard to find a job that will fit in with my college course, which is BTEC Level 3 Business and Administration based at Coleg Menai in Bangor.

I have also been unsuccessful when applying online when jobs came available. I recently applied for a job role in Tesco Holyhead and I’m still waiting for a reply.

As a young person I do realise that there is a big competition out there due to a lot of people being on job seekers allowance and trying to find work.’
